Technical Reports
Technial Report 1
Technical Report 1 explores the physical conditions of the existing structure of the Corporate Headquarters. Included in this report are the foundation system, gravity system, lateral system, loads and load paths, materials used, design codes, and other special structural features. Technical Report 2
Technical Report 2 was created to study the existing loads on the Corporate Headquarters. This report includes dead and live gravity loads, snow loads, wind loads, and seismic load calculations. Please click on the image below to view a PDF of the report.
Technical Report 3
The purpose of Technical Report 3 is to analyze a typical bay and perform gravity load spot checks on it. Additionally, three alternate gravity framing systems were analyzed. The three alternate systems were Non-Composite Steel Framing, One-Way Concrete Slab, and Two-Way Flat Plate concrete slab. Please click on the image below to view a PDF of the report.
Technical Report 4
The purpose of Technical Report 4 is to determine if the building's existing lateral system is adequate for wind and seismic loads. To determine the adequacy of the system, a 3-D structural model was created using ETABS. Please click on the image below to view a PDF of the report.
While great efforts have been taken to provide accurate and complete information on the pages of CPEP, please be aware that the information contained here within is considered a work-in-progress for this thesis project. Modifications and changes related to the original building designs and construction methodologies for this senior thesis project are solely the interpretation of M. Julia Haverty. Changes and discrepancies in no way imply that the original design contained errors or was flawed. Differing assumptions, code references, requirements, and methodologies have been incorporated into this thesis project; therefore, investigation results may vary from the original design.
